感受到不同嗎?

Over 是越過一些 '突出' 的東西, across 是橫過 '平面' 的東西

Eg. She is an only child.
You're just like your father

believe 跟 trust 解作 '相信' 的話, 沒甚分別. 要注意 believe 後可加 in , 但 trust 不可.

die 是動詞, 過去式及分詞 died
dead 則是形容詞

cure 是治癒 (完全復完) 的方法

總之要視乎情況彈性處理.

子句第一個字加 the 只是巧合罷了.

子句是否加 that, 則要視乎子句的形式. 假如 that 後跟的是子句的主語通常可以省略:

The boy that you talked with is my brother.

不太對. not 解作 '不是', 而非 '沒有', 用'no' 才對. 但還是那句, 句子是完全中文直譯的, 沒有顧及外國人的語言習慣.

It is because I learnt that no with nouns means not any. But I rarely see many nouns are used with "no" or I can use any nouns with "no" ? I usually can see some sentences use no with nouns like "no money, no ideas, no chopsticks etc.... Is that I can use "I don't have+noun" to replace "no+noun", both way are same meaning at all, right ?

實在, 形狀不能任意改變的名詞大多是可數的. Coffee 本來沒有固定形狀, 份量, 所以理論上應是不可數.

不過, 外國人跟我們一樣, 隨著生活步伐變得急促, 都喜歡 '簡化' 很多生字, 句子, 文型. Coffee 就是一個表表姐的例子. 而且, 餐廳裡的咖啡一般只用 cup 來載, 所以大家明白, 就省了 cup of, 變成 a coffee.

Coffee 以外, 好像 beer 之類的飲料都通常是一種容器載的 (於酒吧), 所以人們亦直接說 a beer 啦. 不過, 好像 milk 這種容器很多選擇的液體, 則不可只說 a milk 了, 可能要說明是 cup, small cup, bowl, 還是 glass 等. 因為用途跟喝法都可以有很大不同.

對啦, 英國人比較有創意, 他們愛把 a cup of tea 簡化成 a cuppa. 不過, 在美國對侍應說 a cuppa, 他很可能會聽不懂你想要什麼呀.
